Proper maintenance of these swords is important to ensure their longevity and performance. The sword generally consists of three components: the blade, sheath, and accessories, which should all be stored in a dry place away from sour, salty substances to prevent rusting. Hand touch should also be avoided to prevent surface corrosion from sweat. We recommend applying oil to the surface, especially for medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, pattern-welded steel (Damascus steel), and stainless steel blades to maintain them.
